Season 5, Episode 01 –
As the fifth series starts, we join the Fletchers adjusting to life in their lodge and living back on their land. Plans are in for the farmhouse rebuild following last year’s fire, and as they await the green light, there’s plenty to keep them busy. Kelvin takes time to reflect on how far they’ve come since buying the 120 acres five years ago, and shares their exciting plans for the year ahead. Lambing gets underway and, after a tricky start, the ewes are producing some of the biggest and healthiest lambs they’ve ever had. As Marnie turns nine, she shows no sign of slowing down with her ambitions for her flock of Jacobs and steps up when a cade lamb is rejected by its mother. Seven-year-old Milo decides rearing pigs is a better fit for him than sheep, so works hard with his dad to plot the future of their twelve Saddleback crosses. And as twins Maximus and Mateusz turn four, they start finding their feet as budding young farmers too, helping Liz look after the cows and chickens.
